Terms and conditions

1. The promotion period is from 21 October 2022 to 31 March 2023, both dates being inclusive (“Promotion Period”).
2. The Offer is applicable to KeyChain Pay customers who are cardholders of any qualified personal Mastercard issued in Hong Kong (“Eligible Mastercard”) (collectively known as “Customers”).
3. The Offer is applicable to all legally recognised tenancy agreements for any Hong Kong Public Rental Housing (“PRH”). Customers are required to use Eligible Mastercard to pay the monthly rent with the associated fee(s) for their PRH in HKD via KeyChain Pay’s mobile APP or Web Portal, along with the invitation code (“KCP@Mastercard”) entered in the Promotion field before application submission. In any case this invitation code has not been entered correctly in the relevant field before submission, the account will not be recognised as eligible for the Offer and the associated Customer will not be notified about the adjustment.
4. Phase 1 – HKD 20 cash rebate
• Applicable to verified new users of KeyChain Pay, i.e. new user whose email address has not been registered with KeyChain Pay.
• Each registered Electronic Payment Tenant Code (i.e. each PRH address) can enjoy this HKD 20 cash rebate once, which can be used to offset the transaction fee in the next transaction.
5. Phase 2 – HKD 40 cash rebate per month
• Applicable to Customers registered with Keychain Pay during the period from 21 October 2022 to 31 December 2022 (Phase 1).
• During the period from 1 January 2023 to 31 March 2023 (Phase 2), new Customers who have successfully paid their monthly PRH rent and the associated fee(s) with Eligible Mastercard through KeyChain Pay can receive a HKD 40 cash rebate per month, which can then be used to offset the transaction fee in the next transaction.
• Each registered Electronic Payment Tenant Code (i.e. each PRH address) is eligible to receive up to HKD 120 of cash rebate throughout the period of Phase 2.
6. All cash rebates in the Offer can only be used when original transaction fee is higher or equal to the amount of the cash rebates. A cash rebate equivalent to HKD 20 will be deducted from the transaction fee in a successive manner until such transaction fee goes below HKD 20. Customers will pay for the outstanding transaction fee to complete the transaction. Any outstanding cash rebate amount can be used in the next eligible transaction. For example, when original transaction fee is HK$50 and earned cash rebate is HK$40, the payable transaction fee will be reduced to HK$10 (HK$50 – HK$20 – HK$20 = HK$10).
7. All cash rebates in the Offer must be redeemed on or before 31 March 2023.
8. All cash rebates in the Offer cannot be exchanged, transferred or converted into other forms, unless otherwise specified. All cash rebate cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount, offer or promotion.
9. In any case a card holder requests to make a refund (in full or partial), the Offer will no longer be applicable to the transaction.
10. Any fraud or abuse identified will result in forfeiture of card holder’s eligibility to participate in the Offer and termination of the relevant Smart Contract. KeyChain Pay and Mastercard Asia/Pacific (Hong Kong) Limited reserve the right to debit the Offer from Customer’s Mastercard without prior notice and/or take such necessary legal action to recover any outstanding amounts.
11. By participating in the Offer, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. KeyChain Pay and Mastercard Asia/Pacific (Hong Kong) Limited reserve the right to suspend, modify or terminate the Offer and amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. In the event of dispute, the decision from KeyChain Pay and Mastercard Asia/Pacific (Hong Kong) Limited shall be final and conclusive.
